Meet our Team

Led by Owner and CEO Lee, our team members are carefully selected for their care, compassion and unique pet care skills. Being pet owners ourselves, we understand the pain and heartache that accompanies the loss of a beloved companion. Lee’s extensive experience in the industry coupled with his genuine empathy for people and animals ensures that we will never lose sight of our purpose – to deliver support beyond the service.

We pride ourselves for the level of care that we give to every pet. Whether it be a cuddle, a pat or a scratch under the chin, we understand that each pet is a beloved individual who is cherished dearly by their family. It is with this in mind that ensures we deliver on your expectations as a family.

Taila-Rae Rice

Senior Operations Support Consultant

Taila is our Senior Operations Support Consultant at Passing Paws Pet Cremations. Taila has worked in a wide range of different roles through her time at Passing Paws, which has helped her to understand and excel in her current role.

Unfortunately, Taila heard about Passing Paws through the loss of her own beautiful German shepherd, Luna. A week later the position was advertised for a pet care specialist. It’s now years on and she is still loving every second of her job, especially being able to turn her own grief and loss experience into a driving passion to help guide families through their own.

Tegan Smith

Operations Supervisor

I was born with an immense love of animals. I was lucky enough to work at my family’s adoption centre from a young age, adopting out pound animals or privately surrendered pets. I have also worked with horses most of my life. As with dogs and cats, horses play a huge part in our lives and therefore need the same level of caring service we provide for small animals. My free time is spent with my daughter and husband, either riding our horses, hiking with the pooch or lazy days in front of the TV. I have 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 rabbit and 2 horses. My pets are family, and family means everything to me.

Janet Amy

Family Support Consultant

I’m a passionate animal lover and currently have two beautiful dogs and three crazy cats that presently call me mum. I have always had pets of my own and I have also fostered many rescue animals in need. The most rewarding part of my role is speaking to the many, many beautiful families that call in and hearing about the love that they have for their own personal fur-babies and helping them create the most fitting send off for their beloved pets - and hopefully helping to make the grieving process just that little bit easier.

Ashleigh Gemmill

Pet Care Specialist

I have always had a very deep love for animals. I have been in the Veterinary industry for the past 12 years and understand how important and special our fur babies are to us.

I joined Passing Paws in October 2021, and have brought compassion, love and care for all beloved pets with me. I quickly settled into the Passing Paws family, and I will always be sure to give your beautiful fur babies one last cuddle or scratch behind the ears ❤️

Hayley Arkley

I have previously worked within the Health Industry as a Support Worker. I love animals and especially Birds, of which I have 3. I treat our clients’ pets as if they were my own and will care for your beloved pets whilst we look after them.

Ashleigh Lindsey

Pet Care Specialist

Growing up in country Western Australia, having a love for animals was always bound to happen. After Graduating high school, I continued in the Agriculture industry but always thought I was meant for more, especially helping people.

I went into emergency services and then further into mental health and psychology. I’m now fortunate enough to be able to use that experience to help our amazing families here at Passing Paws, whilst also fulfilling my love for our 4-legged family members.

Mel Lynas

Pet Care Specialist

Having worked as a Horse-Riding Instructor I have always found myself around dogs and horses. When I found this position, I jumped at the opportunity to be able to bring my love of animals into my workplace.

I love meeting our clients and their families out on the road and ensuring that I provide the utmost respect and care during their pets final journey.

Ray Shally

Pet Care Specialist

I have been a part of the Passing Paws team for the past 2 years. On losing my pet, I was unsure on the procedures of the cremation of my beloved Staffy Rio.

On contacting Passing Paws they guided me through this and provided support, comfort, and peace of mind that they would take great care of Rio.

As fate would have it, I met the owner of Passing Paws, Lee, and my personal interaction turned into an employment position as a Support Pet Care Specialist. On this experience I found that I wanted to help people in their bereavement of their loved pet, something I get to do every day.

Kristy Prow

Pet Care Specialist

My love and respect for all animals have come from spending my early childhood years in a clinic with my mother, where she worked as a vet nurse. Iv worked with racehorses for the past 18 years, and I’m still in awe of there beauty, power and unique personalities. My fur babies include 2 Rottweilers, an Indian ringneck parrot and countless tropical fish.
